To Grandmother's house we went.

This is Habbs.

And this is Habbs with her Great-Grandfather.

Photobucket

It's amazing to me that he hasn't changed one.iota for as long as I've known him.

He sings to her the same songs I can remember him singing to me..

Photobucket

..and dances the same way I remember him dancing...

Photobucket

...and makes the same hilarious faces...

Photobucket

and I know the other grandkids know exactly what I mean...

Abby and I had such a lovely visit with our (great)grandparents (Grandma declined a photo-op)...

we did a puzzle (in record time), ate wayyy to much delicious food,Photobucket,

collected scraps for the compostPhotobucket,

watched some movies, went for a walk or two, toured around to see what was new in town, searched the house for hidden treausres
Photobucket

and did a few crosswords.

Visiting them is like a trip back in time, and it was fabulous...no they are fabulous.

And this is fabulous...

Two of my favorite people sharing a special moment...that I intruded on.

I wish I could bottle this moment and pull it on a rainy day!

Almost a month!?!? REALLY??

Ugh, I have NO idea where the time has gone... Okay, that's a lie. I know exactly where it's gone and today I will blog about it!!

We left home two weeks ago today, and we had the most beautiful drive!!! I was so tempted to stop and take some pictures, but we only stopped three times in the 9 hour drive. Once for gas, and and the other two times Weston had a pee, and I fed and changed the baby quickly. The weather has been beautiful since we've arrived, and I am not sure which of the three of us have had the most fun being outside....
Photobucket

(Gosh I could just SQUISH those cheeks....and sometimes I do)

Photobucket

but I guess I could say Weston probably has enjoyed it the most.

So, we've been getting out on tonnes of walks...can I mention how UN-FUN walking up the hill to the house is pushing the stroller (you've got to see the incline of the road to understand...hmm...tomorrow I might take a picture to show you how nuts it is). And I'm not ashamed to say, I loop the leash around the handle so he can help pull.

Photobucket

Sigh....she's such a beauty sometimes :) She truly does melt my heart a little bit.

Valentines Day Abby's first tooth really cut through...sharp as a snaggletooth!! However tempting it may seem do not put your finger in there, because I will not pay to fix the damages. And today while staring into her gaping mouth I noticed tooth numba TWO is working on breaking through the skin. when.did.my.baby.get.so.freaking.big?!?!!?!?! She is rolling both back to front and front to back...though only when she chooses to. Most of the time she thinks it would be better for me to fetch her whatever toy is just out of her reach and grunts/squawks until I give in. She can sit for about 30 seconds unassisted...sometimes longer, sometimes she just bends in half and chews her feet - depends on her mood. But lay her flat on her back and she's picking up her head and trying her best to do a sit up. She can skootch her way around on the floor....usually going in a circle and backwards are her specialty. She has also learned and is working on perfecting her ability to blow raspberries...
Photobucket.

I'm not sure why - but a million liters of spit is required to be blown everywhere for it to be a "true raspberry"... YUCK.
Photobucket

Ha ha, I think she should open a Kissing Booth!!!!

Photobucket

Hm...thanks GRANDMA for teaching her that one. She also takes her hand and hits her mouth and goes "aye, yie, yie yie"... sometimes she gets a little too into it and really smashes her face - and then looks at you and cries like you've punched her in the face.

We're still here for a few more weeks, and word on the street is our reno is in full tilt. I have no other news on that front...but I am very, very, very excited to see the end-results. It's going to be so weird to not be here, however, I must say after not spending more than a week at home for almost 4 years, it has been oh.so.nice. to stay for a while!!!!

Photobucket

But that being said, we really do miss Daddy

Photobucket(I really wish he was here to push the stroller up that hill, ha ha). But we know we have the better end of the deal, we would not want to be stuck up the mountain all night, in what looks like an ice-fishing tent in the cold!! But...it would be pretty neat to see some of the events. I would love to see someone go down on the Bobsleds.

Ty's got tickets to tomorrows Gold Medal Skeleton event, and also to the Gold Medal Bobsled event. Should be fun to be a spectator and not working!!!! So, watch for him on TV, maybe he'll make it on!

Photobucket

Well, until next time...which shouldn't be long now that I figured out how to hook my computer up to the internet here.... I'll just say goodbye, and here is a raspberry from Abby to all of you! Photobucket
