For those of you who have met Weston - you know his love of licking. He thought it was a great idea to lick the baby tonight, and well she wasn't quite in agreement. But she did find the thought of picking on him hilarious!!!

Ha ha....whhhhhhhhat a great video!

...Better late than never...right?

Yes, I know that it has been almost 3 months since our daughter was born - does everyone even know that Barry turned out to be a 9lb 10oz sweet little girl?

September 20th, 2009 at 11:45pm we were very surprised to meet a little girl (I SWORE we were having a boy), who was not 7.5lbs like the nurse had suspected, but rather almost 10lbs and dark.dark.dark!

I had fallen in love with names for a boy, and Ty had agreed to them had we had a son, so it was only fitting that if we had a girl he chose the name. He wrestled with a few ideas for most of the day, and finally chose Abigail Sophia.

It has been almost 3 months since her arrival - and it`s odd - it feels like she is brand new, yet also feels like she has been here forever. Since her arrival we have been waiting for the sleepless nights, hours of endless crying, and mounds of dirty diapers. Well, the diapers turned out to be exactly what we anticipated, yet, we have yet to see any sleepless nights and no hours of endless crying. She is truly a little sweetheart, and possibly the easiest baby I have ever met (and no, its not just because she is mine that I say that).

She takes after her dad and loves to sleep in - yesterday she slept till noon, and today till almost 1pm! She has found her hands and enjoys to shove them (quite literally) into her mouth - she can almost fit her whole fist in her mouth. She can roll from her stomach to her back, but has not quite figured out how to flip from her back to her stomach yet. She loves to be talked to, and she loves to smile, and has a pretty cute giggle - though you have to work pretty hard for them.

A few weeks ago we took advantage of a couple of our friends hospitality - and we joined them for 8 days at their holiday home in Palm Springs....and apparently Abby could totally be a California Baby - she loved the warm weather and really loved their pool. Swimming every day equaled one tired baby at the end of the day, I never thought that she would spend an hour in the pool at just a couple months old!

Well, its 1:32am, and this is not the most interesting, nor indepth update - but it is better than nothing. So I will try to leave you with a couple pictures of her from the other day.

Weeeeeeeek 19 is almost done!

...So I might not QUITE be as good at updating as I promised I could be. Sigh... BUT the good news is that I am updating right now! It's Week 19...actually pretty much Week 20 which means, this time next week I'll be slipping down the slope to the end already. I can't believe how fast this is going, and in true Tyler and Nicole fashion if we are ready for this arrival it will be shocking! Ha ha....

There's the only picture we have...it's not the best quality, but it's proof! :) We probably had the shortest ultrasound of all times, but it was pretty neat to see it's feet kicking and its toes flexing and such. It was a fairly early ultrasound, 16 weeks, but we got a sneak peek and now we only have another 20 or so weeks and we'll meet the little gaffer.

Still no decisions on names yet... (OH WAIT...what do you all think of Silas _____________ Griffith???) we still have awhile, but who knows maybe when sitting on the beach in a couple weeks we'll be inspired. Or...maybe the spending a few weeks of quality time together will actually allow us to spend some time trying to actually come up with a serious name. SUGGESTIONS ARE BEING TAKEN. If you look at the bottom of THIS post - under the description underneath the MANGO you'll see where it says comments, and you can click on there and leave your suggestions.

Ty's been very busy the last few weeks working on the house - it looks amazing!!! I have some pictures on the home computer, I'll post them today or tomorrow for you guy's to see how far its come. I have NO CLUE how I will leave it when we move.

Ty picked up his new recruit from the airport on Friday. She's really nice so far, and seems she will be a nice addition to the detachment, and Todd's recruit arrives this week sometime - I think maybe tomorrow! Crazy! It'll be a little nuts the next 3 months while the training is going on, but we really need the man-power as we've been short a member the last few months, and it's starting to take it's toll.

I'm fine with Ty's amount of overtime etc... we have Barry Manelow on the way, and a holiday next month - bring on the moooolah! Ha ha. OOOOOOOOOOH, and one of my favorite uncles sent Ty and I a DVD of the wedding, I'm hoping Ty can show me how to post it on here - its hilarious and we loved it! AWESOME! I hope we can share it with all of you.

Work is insane for me at the moment, we are currently developing a program we will be using across the board - internationally in our company, as well as doing our spring inventories, and I have been LOVING/HATING/COUNTING THE DAYS TILL I'M DONE WORK... Ha ha... thank goodness I have Christine now who is training to take over for me - she is truly a life-saver and hilarious like me - so we keep eachother sane :)

Well, until next time.

This week your baby starts bulking up and packing on the grossly named "brown fat" he'll need to keep warm when he gets evicted from his comfortable uterine home. Other highlights this week:Vernix, a milky white coating that protects your baby's skin, appears all over your baby's body to keep his skin from getting pickled in the amniotic fluid. Think of it as if your baby has been dipped in yogurt, like those delicious but fake-healthy yogurt-covered raisins and pretzels. Ooh, we feel another craving comin' on. ... Under the vernix, a fuzzy layer of hair called lanugo now covers baby's body. Don't worry, your Mini won't look like Cousin It when he's born. Most of the fuzz will fall off before baby makes his grand entrance.Good news: Your baby's kidneys are fully functioning and producing urine this week. Bad news: That means there will be lots of diapers in your future. But so far you're safe—at the moment the pee just passes into the amniotic fluid.

Two weeks already!!!!

Has it really been two weeks since I spilled the beans on this blog that nobody reads??? We went on Tuesday to my Doctors appointment, and heard Barry Manelow's heartbeat. It was such a relief, rush, INSANE moment. It's nuts to know there is actually a baby in there....here I thought it was all due to my insane.addiction.to.food. Phewf. ALSO in important news, I misheard the doctor at the last appoinment, and she set me straight this time - I've only gained about 6 pounds. BRING ON THE FROZEN YO...apples I mean.

I'm still feeling fantastic for the most part, and so far am really enjoying being pregnant. I can't wait to really start feeling Barry Manelow. I've had a few blips that I think might have been him/her, but I'm not 100% sure...heck knowing me and my FIBER intake, it was probably just gas ha ha.

The ultrasound is scheduled for the end of this month, so if I post again in two weeks, I might even have a picture or two to share with you all:) Wow....hold back your excitement - MOM as your the only one who knows we still update this site every now and again! Ha ha ha...

By the end of this week, Barry will be the size of:

Creepy how I'm addicted to ORANGES, and Barry Manelow is the size of one...does this make me cannibalistic?

Although many women don't start feeling the baby move until the 17th week (or later), your baby has been having his own party in the amniotic sac he calls home. If you feel a little flutter in your belly this week, don't discount it as gas or hunger. It could be your babe banging around. Here's more to look forward to:Baby's head is now resting on his well-formed neck instead of directly on his shoulders like Igor. He's beginning to grow eyebrows and eyelashes this week. (All the better to give you that "Mom, you're crazy" look when he's a teenager.) The hair on the head also begins to grow and, with some creative styling, you'll be able to turn those locks into a Maddox Jolie-Pitt faux-hawk some day. Although baby's eyes are sealed shut, he's now able to sense light. His eyes and ears finally look like real baby features now. As your baby practices sucking and swallowing actions, he may actually hiccup. You'll know he's had one too many shots of amniotic fluid by the steady thump-thump you feel.

Calling all Barry Manelow Fans!!!

We thought we would post the news *not that anyone checks this as we never update the blog*, but we are expecting our first bambino in September 2009!!

I am gaining weight like a hot tamale - so far its all in my belly and my boobs. So far so good, a little bit of Gaggy-ness here and there, and boy they don't kid around when they say your tired in your first trimester - but now that I'm in the second trimester I'm feeling 100%! It's nice! My husband would probably tell you that I have had a couple (and I admit to one or two) "somewhat odd, maybe uncalled for" hormonal moments - especially when it comes to poor Weston and the amount of hair he leaves in my house!! I just don't think I am believer in large inside dogs, and I know that I am not made out to be a large.inside.dog.owner. I have yet to find someone who can keep their home hairless - and whoops besides that rant, lets just say come spring Weston will discover the LOVELY BACKYARD at our house:) However, we have purchased a Roomba and while it wouldn't do the job of SOLE vacuumer at my house, its a nice addition and helps out quite a bit keeping the main floor hair-free!!!

Here is a picture taken at the beginning of my 13th week.

We're pretty excited. Our Fetus-name that we have been referring to the baby as whilst in Utero has been Barry Manelow! It's pretty catchy! Ha ha... and no, Lola is not on the "Baby Name List".

I've been busy still curling, and still commuting the hour and a bit each way to work every day - I'm looking forward to not having to drive next winter:) We have our curling bonspiel this weekend coming up, and then its play-offs for league play. It's funny because usually I am the most competitive person and usually play only to win, but with curling, I really enjoy the social aspect and don't have that drive every week to dominate. Hmm....maybe I am mellowing in my old age! Ha! I need to find a new Tuesday night passtime for next winter though!!

Ty has been working alot...and alot of overtime. Great news for us once it comes time for the baby to arrive - he has tonnes of OT banked, so he'll be able to take off some time and just relax. I know he's hoping to Farm (the guy REALLY loves to drive tractor etc...who would have thought!) this fall again, so between harvest and the baby he'll get a nice break:) Hopefully the baby holds out till the end of harvest:)

We're headed back to Florida in May again for our last family vacation as a duo - crazy! Its nuts to think that we leave in less than 60 days for holidays (yes, I'm counting - its March and winter is still in FULL swing!), and then when we get back, I only have 90 more days until I am off work -CRAZY. When I think of it in that perspective, it feels like I don't have much time at all!!!

The end of this week Barry Manelow will be the size of a:

Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.
